Menara 238

You are too reserve Shida… damn! I’m indeed reserve to stranger…

------------------------------

We went to Raya open house at Menara 238. I’m MADE to go… I’m so regretting for not fasting today… it’s not that I don’t fancy those fancy and free foods... it just that I’m dress too casually… I’m more like going to a movie instead of to office… definitely can’t do fishing today…huh!

Everyone there was in their best form… with baju kurung and baju melayu… ME? Just pretend to not to look awkward…

-----------------------------

Zaleha: You are from where?
Me: Erm, we are from such & such…
Zaleha: So, are you are one of the client?
Me: No. I’m a social escort… We are consultant…
Zaleha: What you guys do then?
Me: I'm escorting those who can write me a cheque… we did some liquidation work for them…

It was indeed the first and only so called business contact I made so far… I think I did quite well BUT

My boss who was just next to me might think that I need to open up a bit… flashing back the conversation I had with Zaleha, it did look like an interview session… LOL! Zaleha is a Financial Controller for a public company… but, she was kind enough to say hi to me…

I don’t want to say wrong words to a wrong person… those people I met during my ‘escorting’ session are not nobody. They are people with lots in their hands. The big fish they call. There is this guy sharing a table with us. Luckily I don’t say a word to him while my boss chatting with another guy. He is a partner of some international audit firm. Gosh… he doesn’t look like one!

I just don’t know what to say to these corporate people… So, Mr.such & such, do you know that Paramore is coming to town? Or do you have a handsome & eligible son? LOL!

Menara 238… it’s previously known as Menara Marinara… but why 238? The address explains why… quite unusual name i guest...

---------------------

Next time if I ever have to do this ‘escorting’ session again, I should do what those corporate people do… pass the business card (to everyone, cause I have a lots)… and read theirs. Start with asking things about their job or company.  Hopefully the next time is not so soon.

p/s: there are plenty fish in the sea… too bad, I forget to bring the bait today.
